Baby Mini Albums
My sister and her family, as well as my parents were up to visit this past weekend. My Grampa had been admitted back in the hospital for a few days and every moment we get to spend with him is precious time. I had a nice visit with all of them and was very happy to be able to visit my grampa because he lives in PA. My sister had recently gone to a scrapbooking weekend in Cold Lake and was still in the Scrapbooking mood. She was looking through some of my past layouts and a few mini albums that I have had on the go for quite some time. I decided today to take some pictures of both albums and post them on my blog. They are both 6x6 mini albums made for two friends that each had a baby, one a girl, the other a boy. This is the first boy project I have ever worked on and found it very challenging. My goal was to create something that the parents could easily put in their own favorite pictures of their baby. My only suggestion being that they get their pictures copied and shrunk down to a 3X2 size, that way they dont have to worry about cropping the pictures themselves with a risk of ruining them (this can be intimidating for non-scrapbookers).
This is the Boys album. Its for a friend of mine from work. Her little guy is named Paxton and he is absolutely adorable. Ive only met him once, but have seen many pictures of him online via the fabulous facebook. I hope to see Jill sometime soon so I can give this to her and Paxton.
The little girls album is for a close friend of the family. Her name is Jylissa and the baby's name is Raya. Raya is absoultely beautiful and is growing so fast. I really enjoyed working with the basic grey 6x6 paper packs in her album. I mostly stuck to pink and brown in this album, but did two pages with green for photos of Raya and her Daddy.

Since seeing these albums, my sister has now requested I make one for a baby gift for a friend of hers. It will be another girl alubm, which I find easier, and again will end up using a basic grey paper pack but in a different design. These albums didnt take much time at all to put together, its just a matter of finding a few hours to sit down and do it. Now that I have a deadline, im forced to scrapbook and get back into the groove of things.
Ill will be back to post some sneek peaks of my scrapbooking room soon. Please check back. BZ

These are really cute! Could you post one with a picture example in it? Also could you post the complete book ie: cover and how it was bound? Or did you just use a regular top loading book? I did an 8x8 book for a friend, but like new ideas on quick "gift" books ~ kristen
Looks great! Glad you posted these albums, I do have to say that they look amazing in person. I am so looking forward to getting mine. Chop chop chickie I can't wait. kidding, thanks for doing it for me.
Love,Danielle
Hey Kris. The only reason I dont have pictures is because I am just giving them to the parents to add their own photos. I dont have any of the kids of my own. I could put a random picture in though to give you an idea. I will also post the album I used. It was a leater We are Memory Keepers I think. Check back.
Oh yes, I realise you don't have any kids yourself, but just curious so see what your thoughts were on placing the photos into your album...even if it was a blank piece of paper where the "photo" would go. Either way love the book! I'm going to start another one soon as well, for my girlfriends twin boys!
Beautiful pages!!
