Sisters

A year ago, my sister asked me to decorate the word SISTERS to hang in Gabrielle & Ella's room. Of course I started them right away, but never really put the finishing touches on them. I never did end up getting them to her, which was a good thing because the girls recently got their room redecorated. At the Spring Fling Crop my sister and I picked out the new paper. We were trying to match it to an extremely tiny fabric swatch that she had brought. I am going up to Cold Lake this week, so I promised I would have them done. I hope they match well and look good in the girls bedroom.

Two weeks ago I started this page of my Grampa and Grandma. It came together really well, and last week when I was home for a few days I put the finishing touches on it. In all of the recent pictures I have of my grampa he is wearing orange. I was finding it very difficult to find paper that would match the pictures. I finally found some that I thought would work and am extremely happy with the finished product. Now I just need to find more paper containg orange for all the other pictures.

I was in Saskatoon this weekend and spend time on Saturday and Sunday scrapbooking. I loved every moment of it, and I actually got quite a bit done. I have more pages that I will post later. I gotta spread them out so I still have something to blog in the future. I am going to both Cold Lake and Edmonton this week to visit both of my sisters. I havent seen Alisha since March and I am officially the only family member that hasnt seen her new house. I will be gone for five days and then Ill be back to work in Lanigan. I hope I will be able to blog again next week, so please check back! Enjoy the nice hot weather!

A Project

Ever since last April when I altered a MM cube for a fathers day gift, Ive sort of been addicted. I started this one of Gabrielle months ago, but was waiting for the perfect matching embellishments to finish it. It still isnt quite finished but here is what I have done so far.

I am also going to make one for Ella, as well as my mom. Im in no rush to start or finish them, but I have the paper and pictures picked out already. This way if I ever feel creatively changelled I can start them at a moments notice.

This is one of the final layouts I did at the Spring Fling Crop. I actually used a sticker on it (and quite a large one for that matter), so for all of you who call me a sticker snob, I proved you wrong. Im not 100% happy with this layout. It still seems like something is missing in the open space underneath the photo. Maybe someday I will try to add some journaling.

I get to spend the weekend here in Saskatoon, so I am going to the late night crop at JSI to scrapbook with Laura. Im sure we will waste a lot of time catching up, but hopefully we both get some pages done (or started).

I will try and post soon, so keep checking back!

2 Posts In One Week!

Im on a roll. At least with blogging. It probably wont continue much longer, but ill enjoy it while it lasts. I thought I would post a few more layouts and then im heading up to my scrapbook room to see what I can create! Im so excited.

This is still one of my favorite pictures of Gabrielle. Ive scrapbooked it before but wasnt satisfied with it. When you love a photo this much, you want to love the layout just as much. I am finally happy with what I came up with.

This is another one of the layouts that I created at the Spring Fling in April. I had the entire layout completed but I could not think of a title for it, so of course i just pushed it aside. I suppose I should still add some journaling to explain why I chose this title. I thought it fitted well, using the same photo .

This picture was taken in Mexico while I was snorkelling at Xel-ha. One of Alisha's friends, and my old roomate, has a camera with an underwater case and she was taking pictures. This picture doesnt really look like me, but I thought it was kinda funny. Its also of me underwater, so I had to scrapbook it. This was the first time I officially enjoyed snorkelling. I dont know why I called it "scuba". I already had the chipboard letters glued down when I realized I should have called it snorkelling. Normally things like this bother me and I tear apart the entire layout and re-do it. Im just happy to have some actual layouts done, so it will stay this way.

Thanks for looking. Hopefully I get to post again soon!

Hard at Work!

So I finally had two days off in which I got to come back home and had the opportunity to blog! Yay! Ive been so disappointed in myself for not blogging sooner. I check out local blogs everyday and am so proud of Sharon for blogging on a daily basis. The last time I was in Saskatoon I finally had the opportunity to scrapbook for almost an entire day in my scrapbook room. This was the first official time and I loved it. It was the best feeling in the world, and although I didnt get any new pages started, I completed several pages from awhile ago. I would have given anything to have another day off so I could keep going. I know I would have gotten so much accomplished. It was sad to have to go back to Lanigan and work when I was finally on a roll but Im back in the city on Tues night until Thurs night this week and hopefully my mojo will return and I will get some new pages finished. I thought I would share a little sneak peak of my scrapbook room with you. It gives you an idea of the general theme of my room. If I ever get it cleaned up, I will post some pictures of the entire room soon.Of COURSE I have to post a few pages!! So here they are. The first two I started at the Spring Fling crop at JSI. The one of me and my sister Michelle, is a picture taken the day of Alisha's wedding in Mexico. It came together really easy and I loved using Lorraines Quickcuts at the crop. The font of hers that I used is my favorite!

The second layout is of Ella and my puppy Quincy. Ella is two and half now, and when she says "I love you" her "love" is actually "la". She always says "I la you quincy!" Its even cuter when she says it on speakerphone when she askes to talk to Quincy!

The last one of Ella with the towel on here head I had started in January. It took me until now to put the finishing touches on it. She is such a goofball and I cant wait to go and visit her and Gabrielle at the end of this month!
Here are a few close ups.
